Muse ROCKS

I had the very fine pleasure of seeing one of my favorite bands in the entire UNIVERSE play a couple months back.

The visual effects were amazing.

They sing just as well if not better than the album.

Not to mention incredibly talented musicians.

I was surprised at how emotional I got at the concert. Muse was the band that got me through my divorce. I listened to the Absolution album 24/7 during that period, and moped, and learned, and grew. This band has been permanently imprinted on me. The played a song close to my heart and I was in tears!

Oh so good. Must see them again. I recommend it to anyone whether you’ve heard of them or not!

Plus the lead singer wore a silver sequined suit – and he’s STRAIGHT. Need I go on?

Do the Time Warp

Amy Winehouse made a special guest appearance at Legend 3D!

I’m a little bit bitter about missing Halloween on the blog. But since I’m in charge around here, I’ll be determining the chronological order of posts :) And today, it’s Halloween.

I dressed up for work with a bunch of my goofy coworkers. I spoke in a cockney accent the better part of the day, demanding tequila as rewards for getting my work approved. SO FUN. Also, I’m rather tall to begin with, so with the beehive and heels I was probably around 6’4″ that day – weeee!

My friend Elaine busted out this awesome tattoo upon arriving at work.

Happy Halloween!

I’m a Legend Stereo Artist

What does that mean, you ask? It means I make 3D movies!

I work for a lovely little company called Legend 3D, a studio that specializes in converting movies from 2D to 3D. And it’s based right here in San Diego, CA. We’ve got a big eclectic groups of artists from all different backgrounds, from game animation, to comic book inking, to monster movie makeup effects, to sculptors, painters – you name it, we got it. We sit around wearing 3D glasses all day, making movies look super cool. I love what I do and I love going to work every day, which is saying something. (PS we’re a growing company and have hiring spells fairly often… ya know, if you’re interested…)

And no, unfortunately I can’t tell you how we do it, or what we’re working on – (But it’s gonna be awesome!!! I can’t wait to be able to tell you about it!)

I can tell you about our last project. We digitally converted Shrek 1, 2, and 3 into 3D which were just released out on Blu-Ray in packages with new Samsung 3D tvs. :: Insert marketing plug here::

Unfortunately I’ll need to wait awhile before I can get a 3D tv myself – and really, after looking at it all day I’m not really in a hurry. Lol. Also, I think it may be even a bit longer before I can look at Shrek in 3D and enjoy it! Ha. If any of you have a 3D tv, check it out. We did all of it and it rocks.

So, if you missed this blog, just blame Shrek ;)

Guess who? Did you miss me?

Wait for it…..

:::Dances down the aisle soul train style high fiving EVERYONE as she passes!:::

**I”M BACK!**

Ok, now for the explanation. There’s always one of those, and I know what you’re going to say — “Oh excuses, excuses, Miss!” But I venture on anyhow

January 2010 – Last dated post. Interviewed/ auditioned for a new and exciting job.

March 22, 2010 – Got the new and exciting job! Working two jobs to [pardon my french] make effing ends meet. Knitting production suffers terribly.

April – Working only one job now, as an artist, and loving it. I make money being an artist. This is my dream come true.

May – DEADLINES APPROACHING. Begin the 60-80 hour workweeks!

June – DEADLINES HERE! 12 hour days 6 days a week!…

August – DEADLINES EXTENDED! 12 hour days 6 days a week!

September – Project done… much needed vacation to Seattle….. And oops, where did that 20 pounds come from? You mean if I sit all day at a desk and eat take out food every day I’ll gain weight? What? And get cranky and irritable as well? That’s just crazy talk…

October – New projects and a promotion at work – WOOT.

November! – Now we come to the present. Another promotion at work to meet our production needs. Currently working more management and guess what, it’s kinda stressful, but awesome at the same time. 10 hour days 6 days a week!

So, my dearest readers, I’ve been a busy little lady :) But I’ve missed you all so. I miss writing! And I miss knitting and running too! And well,I pretty much tipped the scales on the eating category – literally and figuratively.  Stay tuned for upcoming adventures in knitting – yes I have something on the needles! == Adventures in running: Will she actually run the San Diego Rock’n’Roll marathon again this year? — And adventures in eating, well, mainly weight loss with Nutrisystem… closely tied in with the running part ;)

Have a great night, Readers. I’ll see you very soon!

Love,

Jenny
